Applications Limited started with humble beginnings in 1999. The
author of PatSeeŽ PRO Patent Downloader, Mr Steve Mayall, received
great support for this product from a meeting of the Patent &
Trade Mark Group meeting in London.
Soon after, PatSeeŽ PRO caught the attention of a number of major
players in the intellectual property field. Derwent expressed
significant interest and entertained IAL at its London offices.
The customer base grew rapidly, including numerous law firms around
the world and major Industrial companies such as Kao Corporation,
Rhone Poulenc, Honda, Toshiba etc. Before long IAL appointed distributors
as far afield as Japan, South Korea and the USA.
IAL
has attended a number of major Information Science events and
made presentations to intellectual property professionals, including
the PATMG Jamboree at the British Library, London, and EPIDOS
Show, organised by the European Patent Office.
The
latest event in the history of IAL is an expansion in programming
resources and an office move to Dover, England.
